The Gathering

So named because the objects in the still life are a collection of fabrics and pottery given to me over the years by special people in my life.  As I arranged these objects for the painting I realized that it was a "gathering" of their friendship and spirit.

The integration of paper and paint transition beautifully.  I used my own handmade paste papers, found paper, fabric, oriental paper and acrylic paint in this mixed media collage.
