Welcome to my world. The studio is set up for our annual Saxonville Open
Studios. Two large north facing windows provide great light for painting. I painted the back wall a deep red. There are wonderful high
ceilings and golden wood floors.
This wall has some of my new mixed media paintings. The keyboard and lots of art books are a welcome
diversion from long hours of painting.
Leaning against the wall is a display of art made by my kindergarten
students. I teach art at the Loker Elementary School in Wayland, MA. The door leads out to the corridor where 15 other
artists have studios.
I also painted the front walls of the studio a deep red. It creates an informal gallery area.
This is a large wall of oil and acrylic paintings setup for Open Studios. This space is usually filled with easels and works in progress.
Here is a collection of paintings, prints and small collages.
A large still life is set up at the back of the studio. To the left, resting on the floor is a painting that is in
progress. Big rolling tables make it easy to rearrange the space. The north facing light is fantastic!
These tables are filled with collage papers. Hanging on the wall are paste papers and also a design for a stain
glass window. Hanging on the right is a mixed media painting on canvas.
This is a cozy space to read, reflect and converse with fellow artists. The hand painted chairs were rescued from the dump.
This little alcove has lots of storage, a sink and doubles as a kitchen. Above is a large storage loft.
