Biography
Emily Rubinfeld is a resident of Wayland, MA. She received her B.F.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA where she majored in printmaking and art education. She is also a graduate of the LaGuardia High School of Music and Art in New York City. Emily taught art to high school students at the Arlington School at McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA. She then started her own photography business, Artistic Photography where she photographed functions and specialized in black and white portraiture. Emily is currently teaching art at the Loker Elementary School in Wayland, Massachusetts. View Emily at age 5 in kindergarten when she attended PS95 in New York City. Emily paints in her studio at Saxonville Studios in Framingham, MA where she works in oils and acrylics. She is an accomplished painter, photographer and ceramist. She has exhibited in many shows, most recently at Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham, The Concord Art Association and The Boston Drawing Project at The Bernard Toale Gallery in Boston. Emily has participated for the past nine years in Open Studios with her fellow artists at Saxonville Studios. Emily has recently studied figure drawing and collage with Tim Harney at the DeCordova Museum School and has also recently studied with Mandy Young and Nan Hass Feldman. She was president of the Wayland Arts Council and one of the founders of Art Space in the Wayland Town Building. She is a member of the Concord Art Association.
